About Us:
In the world of mathematics and computer science, some problems are too difficult to solve all at once because of their enormity or their complexity. Recursion is an elegant method of solving large, complicated problems by breaking them down into smaller and smaller subproblems until a small enough problem is presented that it can be solved simply over and over again.
Trying to solve the problem of persistent poverty is a large, daunting undertaking; perhaps one that is too large and complex to fix all at once. But, at the Recursion Program we believe that breaking down and tackling the underlying causes of persistent poverty yields duplicable results worth having.
The Recursion Program provides:
- One on one involvement with mentors who treat Recursion Program participants as friends of their own families;
- Exposure to perspectives that foster independence, personal growth, and development of life skills; and
- Access to people, resources, and influence not typically available to those striving to exit the cycle of poverty.
